Seasons Change (& So Will You)
Read time: 2 minutes
If you’ve ever planted something, you know this:
The right seed planted at the wrong time won’t grow.
It doesn’t matter how much you water it. It doesn’t matter how much you want it to sprout. If the conditions aren’t right, you won’t see results.
But plant that same seed in the right season?
It flourishes.
Life works the same way.
We all go through seasons.
Some of us are in spring — momentum, new beginnings, everything clicking into place.
Some are in summer — growth, expansion, success stacking on success.
And some? Some are in winter.
Winter is the hardest season.
It’s when things feel stagnant. When progress seems invisible. When you start wondering if things will ever change.
And the biggest mistake people make?
They think winter is permanent.
They believe that because things are hard now, they’ll always be hard. That because they feel lost now, they’ll always feel lost.
But winter is just a season.
It always ends.
The only question is: Will you make it through prepared for spring?
Or will you waste it fighting reality?
Because here’s what I’ve seen (over & over again) after working with over 350+ people:
Those who suffer the most in hard times aren’t the ones experiencing the worst winters.
They’re the ones who resist it. Who make it personal.
They tell themselves: “I’m failing.” “I’m not built for this.” “Maybe this is just who I am.”
No.
You’re not failing. You’re not broken. You’re not stuck.
You’re just in a season.
And like all seasons, this one will change.
So instead of fighting winter, use it.
If things aren’t moving forward right now, maybe this isn’t the season for rapid growth. Maybe this is the season to reflect. To recalibrate. To heal.
Because when spring comes — and it will — you want to be ready.
Here’s how:
1/ Stop making it personal. Winter isn’t about you. It’s not a reflection of your worth. It’s just where you are right now.
2/ Watch your language. Stop saying my depression, my anxiety, my failure. The words you attach to yourself shape your reality.
3/ Focus on preparation, not frustration. If you can’t see results now, focus on who you’re becoming. The roots grow before the leaves show.
4/ Remember: Spring is coming. You don’t need to force it. You just need to hold your ground and be ready when it arrives.
Because it will arrive.
It always does.
And when it does, you’ll realize — this season didn’t break you.
It built you.
You got this, my friend.
Much Love,
Julian
